Progress on the latest baby quilt.
I thought the top was finished but when I really looked at it I felt
the bands of the zoo print were too wide, so I need to do some ripping,
trimming, and padding out with white. The animals need some room to
breathe. Because, as the old saying goes, "Let your pastel-colored
weirdly-scaled animals run wild and free."
(Psst. It's not actually pieced on the slant. It's straight. I just wanted you to think it's interesting. That's some A-1 top-flight craft blog photography right there, hah? Hah?)
I have an idea for the back, but because I'm lazy I'm not especially good at appliqué, I'm going to let Spoonflower do the work. More on that when my custom-printed fat quarter arrives.
