Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the kitchen...

Ran across these in iPhoto and enjoyed the blast from the past.  Several years ago I made aprons for my nephews as Christmas gifts.  I bought plain aprons and tie-dyed them, then added appliqués using various kids' prints.  This one was for my nephew who was 3 at the time.  Nothing upsetting here:

This was for my then-6-year-old nephew.  Pizza vs. sushi: WHO WILL WIN?

And then things got weird.  This was for the nephew who was 10:

...but then I chickened out and switched the Teletubby for a nice peaceable donut.

However, when it was time to make an apron for my mother, hey, no holds barred.  Those rabbits who'd been leveling her garden?

Chum, baby.  Nothing but chum.
